My name is Hannah. I am a graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead, MN with double majors in Theatre Art (concentrating in acting and directing) and English Literature. I graduated two weeks ago, and now I am trying to be a "real person" and make it in the world.
In other words, I currently am living with my parents for the summer in the suburbs of the Twin Cities. This summer, I am nannying and serving at a sports bar (not at the same time), and will be acting in a show. I am playing the part of Caliban in Shakespeare's The Tempest with Park Productions in Hopkins, MN (so much more to come about that, to be sure!).
In August, I will be relocating to Louisville, KY for nine months to work for Actors Theatre of Louisville! I was just recently hired on as the Marketing and Public Relations Intern for their 2014-2015 season. Although that's not exactly the area of the theatre I want to be working for the rest of my life (I really hope to continue working in acting and directing eventually), it's a foot in the door, right?!
So, essentially, this blog will be a blog of my adventures as a recent college theatre graduate. It's gonna be everything from exploring Caliban to managing the Facebook page of a giant Tony-Award Winning theatre company. There will be stories, lessons, laughs, advice, opinions, the works.
